It is quite common to heard nowadays about gender and inclusion policies within organizations and associations. However, it is quite common to look at organizations and associations that support men when they are the majority members over women. Usually men are at the head of that organizations and associations. So, if they are really inclusive and with gender perspective, why women are not at the head of them even if they are not majority members?<\/p>\n

Whitin the organizations, when men complain, it is usually said that they have found inconsistency\u2026. When women complain, it is usually said that they are being conflictive\u2026when men report corruption, it is usually said that they are trustful\u2026 when women report corruption, it is usually said that they are dramatic\u2026\u00a0 when men don\u00b4t allow abuse and set boundaries, it is usually said that they have authority and leadership\u2026when women don\u00b4t allow abuse and set boundaries, it is usually said that they are creating a soup opera.<\/p>\n

Respect has a line, visible for men and invisible for women. Even in 2023 it has been heard that empowered women should not be involved in associations and organizations to avoid controversies and instability, unless women are willing to stand disrespect in order to be accepted.<\/p>\n

The very well known \u201cCalladita de te ves m\u00e1s bonita\u201d in spanish and \u201cWomen look prettier if they shut up\u201d in English where women should be seen but not heard, seems to be in the past. It is not\u2026. It is so update nowadays with misogyny and phrases like \u201cwe have to stand women because we do not have any choice\u201d within that organizations and associations.<\/p>\n

Therefore, our activism to FIGHT for genuine equality for women to be respected based on what they are and what they have worked it is necessary today more than ever. Men and women must have the same authority and leadership but this is a path to be. Most of the organizations and associations do not have any protocol to protect women in case of disrespect and gender violence that makes inequality environment internally.<\/p>\n
